La Tavola is a classic, cozy Italian trattoria located
in Atlanta's famous Virginia Highland neighborhood featuring
exposed brick, dark wood floors, rustic colors and an
open exhibition kitchen. The restaurant features an extensive
wine list, classic dishes made from the finest traditional
ingredients and approachable, friendly service. Perfect
for family gatherings, romantic dinners or just a quick,
yet satisfying, bite at the bar, here you will always
feel welcomed and at home around our table.
Executive Chef Craig Richards (pictured

Executive Chef Craig Richards came to La Tavola after
five years of training under the renowned first lady of
Italian cuisine, Lidia Bastianich. Bastianich, an acclaimed
restaurateur and cookbook author with her own PBS cooking
series, provided him with invaluable knowledge of the
Italian-American kitchen. He began his culinary career
in 1998 at Pachamama’s Restaurant in Kansas and
from there, he took the culinary world by storm at Lidia’s
Kansas City working his way up from senior line cook to
sous chef. In 2001, Richards moved to Pittsburgh to open
Lidia's in Pittsburgh as the restaurant's Executive Chef.
